Multilingual transcription, smarter prep, and deeper meeting intelligence.

A major intelligence release: Veroi adds multilingual transcription, richer pre-meeting context, automatic meeting analysis, transcript editing tools, speaker assignment, and a broad reliability pass across meetings, notifications, imports, and Command Center.

Added
  • Multilingual support. Added multilingual transcription powered by the Parakeet TDT v3 model.
  • Pre-meeting user context. Veroi now uses pre-meeting context to improve smart prep, post-meeting summaries, and meeting analysis.
  • OpenRouter integration. Added OpenRouter support for expanded model access.
  • Notes plus client/project integration. Notes now connect more directly with client and project workflows.
  • Copy and edit transcript. Transcripts can now be copied and edited after capture.
  • Speaker assignment. Added the ability to assign speakers in transcripts.
  • Imported meeting timestamps. Imported meetings can now have their timestamps updated.
  • Automatic meeting analysis. Veroi can now generate meeting analysis automatically after capture.
Changed
  • Tighter Co-pilot action items. Co-pilot now produces cleaner, more focused action items.
  • Low-RAM model warning. Settings now warns users when a device may not have enough memory for heavier models.
Fixed
  • Zoom and Teams meeting detection bugs.
  • Silent notifications that could fail to appear when expected.
  • Command Center scroll behavior.
  • Crash fixes across the app.

Compose exports, smarter quick actions, and meeting-aware detection.

A practical workflow release: generated drafts are easier to export and email, quick actions now fire immediately, conferencing prompts are based on active meetings instead of open apps, and the menu bar gets cleaner status controls.

Added
  • Compose draft exports. Generated Compose Drafts can now be exported as PDF, DOCX, and TXT.
  • Email support for generated drafts. Send or prepare generated drafts from the Compose flow without manually copying them out first.
  • Persona display names. Persona menus now show clear names instead of emoji-only rows, with updated pickers across chat, PDF chat, meeting chat, project chat, and Co-pilot.
  • One-click quick actions. Start Recording and Quick Note now work immediately from Today and the menu bar.
  • Active-meeting conferencing detection. Zoom and Teams prompts now appear when a meeting is actually active, not merely because the app is open.
  • Refined app detection. Added Zoom helper/host process detection, Slack Huddles detection, and Microsoft Teams meeting detection.
  • Menu bar update controls. The menu bar popover now shows the current app version and includes Check for Update.
  • Calendar source picker. Choose which calendar source Veroi should use when importing and preparing meetings.
Fixed
  • PDF footer rendering bug in exported/generated documents.
  • Notification delivery bug that could prevent expected alerts from appearing.
  • Quick-action flow where the app opened first but did not immediately start recording or note creation.

Project memory everywhere, from live checks to weekly deltas.

A bigger intelligence release: Veroi now connects live meetings, project documents, recurring history, and your own editing style into one stronger local memory layer. Also includes a broad performance and bug-fix pass.

Added
  • Real-time meeting fact-check with project memory. Co-pilot fact checks are now grounded in linked project documents and prior meetings from the same series, not just the live transcript.
  • Live action-item owner suggestions. When Veroi hears a commitment like "I'll send the deck by Friday," it suggests the owner from the speaker label and project team roster.
  • "What changed since last week?" New delta cards on Today and Project Overview summarize meaningful movement: new commitments, escalated risks, rescheduled roadmap items, and other changes across recurring meetings.
  • Cross-meeting trend detection. The new Trends view in Analytics spots repeated topics, sentiment movement, and account patterns across a time window.
  • Recurring meeting narrative continuity. Prep cards now include a short "story so far" for recurring series, so you can see what the meeting has been about and what thread is still open.
  • Learn from your edits. Veroi now learns from repeated edits to AI-extracted action items and gradually adapts future task wording to your style.
  • Auto-persona by meeting type. Co-pilot can switch persona based on meeting title and context — for example, 1:1s, standups, and client calls can each get the right default voice.
  • Unified semantic search. A new command-palette search finds meetings, notes, PDFs, projects, decisions, and action items from one place.
  • Multi-source Compose. Draft status reports, RFP responses, project plans, and client updates from multiple meetings and project sources instead of a single meeting at a time.
  • Chat with any project PDF. Open a document and ask direct questions like "What's the SLA in this contract?" with answers grounded in that file.
  • Forward week-at-a-glance. Today now shows a 7-day grid of upcoming meetings with prep status: ready, no prep, or blocked.
Fixed
  • Performance improvements across search, project memory retrieval, analytics, and long meeting libraries.
  • Bug fixes for recurring-meeting continuity, live action detection, document indexing, and Today view prep state.

APR 24, 2026 Patch

New recording pipeline, in experimental.

An opt-in rewrite of the audio capture path lands behind a feature flag, plus the usual round of bug fixes shaken out by the 1.7 series.

Added
  • Experimental recording pipeline. Opt in from Settings → Speech → System Audio Capture. Rewrites mic + system-audio capture on top of macOS 15's newer AVAudioApplication APIs — lower CPU at long durations, cleaner channel separation, and faster start-stop. Fall back to the stable pipeline at any time.
Fixed
  • Crash when toggling theme during an active recording.
  • Voice profile occasionally re-prompted for setup after app restart.
  • Search results that contained code blocks rendered without monospace formatting.
  • Memory ballooning on libraries with thousands of meetings when scrubbing the timeline.

APR 21, 2026 Minor

Global meeting controls and a voice that's yours.

Start, stop, and pause from anywhere in macOS. Veroi also learns your voice once and labels it correctly across every meeting from then on.

Added
  • Global meeting controls. A new menu-bar control surface lets you start, pause, resume, and stop a recording from any app — without switching to Veroi. Same controls available from the Dock badge.
  • Voice profile. Record a 30-second sample once and Veroi labels you as "You" across every future meeting automatically — no more manual relabel after each call. Stored entirely on-device.
Fixed
  • Pause/resume sometimes left a 1–2 second gap of silence in the resulting transcript.
  • Calendar event titles with emoji broke the meeting list sort order.
  • "Reveal in Finder" pointed to the wrong directory after changing model storage location.

APR 19, 2026 Minor

Filtered chat across clients, projects, and meetings.

Ask Memory now scopes to exactly the slice of your work you care about. Plus a clean-up pass on analytics and recurring meeting bugs that piled up since 1.6.

Added
  • Client, project, and meeting filters in chat. Drop one (or several) into the Ask Memory composer and every answer, citation, and follow-up is constrained to that scope. Mix freely — "this client, last quarter, only kickoff calls".
Fixed
  • Analytics bug fixes. Speaker-balance pie chart no longer double-counts attendees who rejoin mid-call. Sentiment trend stops resetting to zero on meetings shorter than three minutes. Action-item completion percentage now ignores items that were dismissed rather than completed.
  • Recurring meetings. Recurring series imported from Calendar are linked correctly across instances; a new "View all instances" link in the meeting header replaces the old per-occurrence orphans. Editing one instance no longer rewrites future ones.
  • Project chat hung on the first question when a Project had > 200 attached documents.
  • Filter chips in chat lost their state when navigating between meeting and project view.
1.6.0
APR 16, 2026 Patch

Menu-bar recording indicator, restored.

A focused patch that brings back the always-on recording indicator in the macOS menu bar. No new features — just the fix.

Fixed
  • Menu-bar recording indicator is back. The red dot that appears in the menu bar while Veroi is recording briefly stopped rendering on some macOS 15.6+ setups in 1.5.0. It now reliably appears the moment a recording starts and disappears the moment it stops — including across Spaces, full-screen apps, and external displays.

Speakers labeled correctly. Calendar duplicates, gone for good.

A focused release on the foundations that quietly make every meeting better: a new system-audio permission flow that fixes mislabeled speakers, a much smarter calendar sync, flexible storage for your AI models, and broader document support across Projects.

Added
  • Screen & System Audio Recording permission in onboarding — required for Veroi's per-channel diarization. Without it, meetings recorded over built-in speakers labeled every voice as "You". Existing users can grant it from Settings → Speech → Permissions without reinstalling.
  • Choose where AI models live. Settings → AI → Storage Location now lets you pick any folder — Documents, an external SSD, anywhere. Default moved from ~/Library/Caches (which macOS can wipe) to ~/Documents/Veroi/Models so big downloads survive disk pressure and Time Machine.
  • Word, text, Markdown, and RTF in Projects. Anything indexable, not just PDFs. Same on-device chunking and embedding pipeline — questions like "what does the SOW say about onboarding?" now search across every supported format equally well.
  • Per-permission explanations. Each row in onboarding now explains why Veroi needs the access, including the symptom you'll see if it's missing.
Fixed
  • No more duplicate calendar meetings. EventKit duplicates are collapsed at the source, sync updates an existing imported meeting in place instead of creating a new one (even when iCloud silently rotates IDs), and a background auto-merge runs on every launch to clean up anything that slipped through previously.
  • Auto-merge is conservative. Only duplicates with no user-authored content are merged automatically; anything you've edited, recorded into, or attached files to is left alone for you to review manually in Settings → Advanced → Find Calendar Duplicates.
  • Legacy calendar imports back-filled. Older meetings that pre-dated the proper "calendar import" flag are now included in cleanup, so duplicates from months ago can finally be merged.
  • Sync loop now de-duplicates within a single batch — fixes a rare case where two events with the same title and time but different EventKit IDs were both inserted.
Changed
  • Model storage migrates safely. Changing the Storage Location moves every downloaded model file before switching paths — nothing is re-downloaded. The settings panel shows current disk usage and folder, with shortcuts to Reveal in Finder and Reset to Default.
  • 1.4 users auto-migrate on first launch. Cached models move to the new ~/Documents/Veroi/Models location automatically — no manual action required.
  • Background auto-merge runs off the main actor — large libraries no longer cause a launch hitch while cleanup runs.
  • Attach button, drop zone, and document list in Projects generalised from "PDF" to "File"; each row shows its kind label (PDF / Word / Text / Markdown / RTF).
  • Onboarding progress bar reflects the new total step count.
1.4.2
MAR 26, 2026 Patch

Faster search, quieter Bluetooth, and a real export menu.

A maintenance release that hides a much bigger rewrite underneath: memory search is now running on a new approximate-nearest-neighbor index that's roughly 4× faster on large libraries.

Added
  • Export menu. One-click Markdown, plain text, and PDF from any meeting or from a search result.
Fixed
  • Bluetooth headsets no longer force SCO mode when system-audio is on. AirPods finally sound like AirPods again.
  • Long meetings (> 3 h) sometimes lost the last ~90 seconds of transcript. No longer.
  • Timezone drift in calendar integration when the Mac was asleep across a DST boundary.
Changed
  • Default transcription model switched from Parakeet-TDT-1.1B to Parakeet-TDT-0.6B. Word-error rate is within 1 point and latency dropped by half on the base M1.
  • The "Recording" indicator is now always visible — no more hiding it in the menu bar.

MAR 04, 2026 Minor

Memory, with citations.

Asking "what did Priya commit to last quarter?" now returns an answer with a footnote that deep-links to the exact sentence in the exact meeting. You can verify everything; nothing is hallucinated without you noticing.

Added
  • Cited answers. Every response in Ask Memory ships with grounded quotes and timestamps.
  • Dark theme that actually works — deep warm blacks, matched accent, no blue light.
Fixed
  • Calendar events with unicode emoji in the title no longer crash the sidebar.
  • Search would occasionally return results from deleted meetings. Resolved.
1.3.1
JAN 27, 2026 Patch

Small, sharp fixes.

Fixed
  • Meetings joined through the macOS Meeting button in the menu bar now auto-attach to the right calendar event.
  • Rare race when two meetings ended within a second of each other that could corrupt one of the two transcripts.
  • Typo on the onboarding screen. Thanks, everyone who emailed.

System audio, without a virtual driver.

Capturing the other side of a Zoom or Meet call now uses macOS 15.6's native audio-capture API. No extensions, no kexts, no virtual drivers, no Audio MIDI Setup detour.

Added
  • Native system audio capture (macOS 15.4+).
  • Live speaker-separated transcript view.
  • Bring-your-own-LLM: point Ask Memory at Ollama, LM Studio, or anything OpenAI-compatible on localhost.
1.2.0
NOV 14, 2025 Minor

Ask Memory, in public beta.

Until now Veroi could transcribe and summarize — but to find something across months of meetings you still had to scroll. No more. Ask Memory runs a local LLM against your semantic index and answers in plain language.

Added
  • Ask Memory tab. Semantic search + on-device summarization.
  • Per-meeting "follow-ups" list — auto-extracted commitments with due dates.

Calendar, quietly.

Added
  • Optional calendar integration — meeting titles, attendees, and agendas auto-populate into notes.
  • One-click rename of a speaker across an entire transcript.
  • Menu-bar mini view while recording.

SEP 08, 2025 Major

Veroi 1.0 — your private meeting brain.

The first public release. Built by a single indie developer who got tired of watching meeting tools turn every conversation into someone else's training data.

Added
  • Fully on-device transcription powered by Parakeet.
  • Automatic summaries, action items, and decisions.
  • Local semantic memory across every meeting.
  • One-time purchase. No account. No cloud. No telemetry.

Follow along quietly.

We don't send marketing emails. Every release gets posted to Discord — that's the only channel.
