How can we help?

Install & setup

Veroi is a single-file macOS app. Drag it into Applications and launch. On first run you'll be asked to grant microphone and system audio access — both are required so Veroi can hear you and the other side of the call. Calendar access is optional.

macOS
15.6 Sequoia or newer · Apple Silicon required
Memory
8 GB minimum · 16 GB recommended for longer meetings
Disk
~107 MB for the app & models · ~40 MB per hour of meeting
Network
None required. Fully offline after install.

Granting permissions

Veroi only asks for what it needs. No full-disk access, no accessibility — just microphone, system audio, and (optionally) read-only calendar.

Microphone

Required. Prompted on first launch. If you skipped it: System Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone and toggle Veroi on.

System audio

Required — this is how Veroi captures the other side of a Zoom/Meet/Teams call. Uses macOS 15's native audio-capture API (no virtual drivers, no kexts). If you skipped the prompt: System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen & System Audio Recording and toggle Veroi on.

Calendar (optional)

Reads upcoming meeting titles and attendees so notes are pre-labeled. Never writes, never syncs to cloud.

Audio & transcript issues

The transcript is blank, choppy, or only captures one side of the call. In nearly every case the fix is in the Audio picker in the top-right of the meeting window.

Only my voice, not the other person

Enable System audio in the meeting toolbar. On first use macOS will prompt you to allow audio capture — click Allow, then restart the meeting.

Transcript falls behind

Switch the model in Settings → Transcription from Parakeet-TDT-1.1B to Parakeet-TDT-0.6B. The smaller model is ~2× faster with ~1 word-error-rate point of loss — imperceptible in practice.

Bluetooth headset sounds robotic

macOS falls back to SCO mode (8 kHz) when a mic is active. Use wired headphones or your Mac's built-in mic for better audio; AirPods work fine in AAC mode when not used as input.

Memory & search

Veroi builds a local semantic index of every meeting so you can ask "what did Ayo commit to last quarter?" and get an answer grounded in real transcripts. The index lives at ~/Library/Application Support/Veroi.

Rebuild the index

Settings → Memory → Rebuild index. Takes ~30 seconds per 100 meetings on an M-series chip.

Search returns nothing

The embeddings model may have failed to download. Check Settings → Models — you should see Gemma 4 listed as installed.

Delete a meeting permanently

Right-click the meeting in the sidebar → Delete forever. The transcript, audio, and embeddings are wiped and the index is updated immediately.

Privacy & your data

Veroi is architected so your data cannot leave your device. There is no account, no cloud, no telemetry — ever. Here's where everything lives:

Transcripts
SQLite database, encrypted at rest with your macOS keychain.
Audio files
Stored locally in Opus at ~16 kbps so transcripts can be re-run and reviewed. Delete any meeting to wipe the audio.
Embeddings
Local vector DB. Never leaves the machine.
Analytics
Available inside the app — speaker balance, sentiment trend, action-item completion. Nothing is tracked or sent off your Mac. No telemetry, no crash reports, no usage pings.

License & billing

Veroi is a one-time $79.99 purchase per person — good for up to 2 active Mac activations. No subscription, no seat math, no renewal. Install Veroi on a new Mac, paste the same license key, and activate; if both activations are already in use, deactivate an old Mac first.

Free trial: 3 days of the full app, no credit card. The in-app onboarding offers the trial signup at the paywall step — just download the DMG to get started.

Lost your license key? Forward your purchase receipt to kailaconsulting@outlook.com and we'll resend within the day.

Refunds: 7-day money-back guarantee, no questions. Just reply to your receipt.

iOS TestFlight

Veroi for iPhone and iPad is currently available on TestFlight while we gather feedback. It is a private AI notetaker with real-time transcription, AI summaries, action items, meeting memory, project context, email follow-ups, and Mail integration.

Best for: in-person meetings, speakerphone calls, interviews, lectures/classes, and using your iPhone or iPad as a second-device meeting companion.

Important limitation: due to iOS limitations, the iOS app does not directly capture Zoom, Teams, FaceTime, or phone-call audio from the device itself. The Mac version has full mic + system audio capture and deeper integrations.

Frequently asked

Is there an iPhone or iPad app?
Yes. Veroi for iOS is live on TestFlight. It works best for in-person meetings, speakerphone calls, interviews, lectures, classes, and second-device meeting capture. It includes transcription, summaries, action items, meeting memory, email follow-ups, and Mail integration.
Can the iOS app record Zoom, Teams, FaceTime, or phone-call audio directly?
No. iOS does not allow Veroi to directly capture audio from Zoom, Teams, FaceTime, or phone calls on the same device. For full mic + system audio capture, use the Mac app. For iOS, use speakerphone, in-person meetings, or a second-device setup.
Is there a free trial?
Yes — a 3-day free trial of the full app, no credit card required. Download the DMG, install, and the in-app onboarding will offer the trial signup at the paywall step. Every feature works during the trial; on day three you decide whether to buy a license.
Does Veroi work without internet?
Yes. Veroi's transcription, memory, analytics, and AI features run locally after setup. Network access is used for license activation, update checks, and AI model downloads; no meeting content is sent.
Can I use Veroi on Intel Macs?
Not currently. The on-device Parakeet and embeddings models rely on Apple's Neural Engine. We don't have plans to port to Intel.
Do I need to notify other participants that I'm recording?
Consent laws vary by state and country. Veroi shows a clear "Recording" indicator by default and makes it easy to announce the recording. We recommend always disclosing.
Can I export my meetings?
Yes — Markdown, plain text, and PDF export are built in. From there you can drop the file into Notion, Obsidian, your docs system, or anywhere else manually. There are no native connectors today; Veroi is intentionally a self-contained local app.
Is there a Windows or Linux version planned?
No near-term plans. Veroi's speed comes from Metal and the Neural Engine — we'd rather be excellent on one platform than mediocre on three.
How do I get help faster than email?
Our Discord is the fastest channel — most questions are answered within an hour, often by other users who've hit the same thing.

Still stuck? I'm human.
